KIDS! You can make your own
prairie dog puppet "pop up" out of his burrow (no doubt to keep a lookout
for any hungry black-footed ferrets!) Here's what you'll need:
an empty round container
("Pounce" cat treat containers work great!)
a wooden craft stick or popsicle
stick
a small clump of "Easter grass"
or dried floral moss
have an adult cut a small opening
in the bottom of the container, just big enough for the craft stick to fit
through.
glue "grass" inside the top of
your prairie dog "burrow".
slip the craft stick through the
opening and your prairie dog puppet is ready to use!
(Thanks to Betty
Little for this craft idea!)
